Small Groups

Everything you need to start, develop further, reform, manage and lead an effective small group program for your church!

Small groups are designed to meet the deepest relational and learning needs of the congregation. Small groups can help provide the framework for us be challenged to worship God with joy, passion and conviction, by learning who I am in Christ so we can develop the trusting faith in Jesus as Savior and LORD. We will be better able to build Christ-centered friendships, and then be equipping others to impact the world all for our Lord's Glory.

Why Should I be in a Small Group?

Use this article for recruiting, to help encourage your people why they should be in small groups.

In Acts the Bible tells us we need to be in relationships for our personal and spiritual growth. As Paul and the early Christians taught and received teaching "from house to house," we too must respond in our walk with Christ in each others homes (Acts 5:42; 20:20)!

All About Small Groups!

Getting to Know You, As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. (Prov. 27:17) The Small Group is the prime platform for establishing and instilling the Great Commandment and the Great Commission that Jesus gave us in Matthew 28:18-20 and Mark 12:29-31. The Small Group is also the vehicle with which to develop and experience authentic relationships and growing discipleship. This builds a Church of authentic community, poured out to His precepts and being in relational intimacy and fullness in Him. This is what we are called to emulate from our Lord. How to Form New Small Groups

Catching and producing a 20/20 vision for your church! How do I recruit people? Have each group always be open to new people if possible. Some groups want to be closed; that is OK for them, but for most, having a small group of no more than 8 to 10 participants makes enough room for two more then you can split them up in two. Thus, the small group itself is the primary recruitment vehicle and...

Talking your Way out of Conflict

How to deal with Small Group conflicts!

This is a basic step by step biblical process to solve conflict personally or in a church. Most problems seem complex; intertwined with so many people and so much hurt and communication ills, they seem overwhelming and hopeless. But, that is not the case; most problems have just a few simple components to them that can be isolated and dealt with.

Using Small Groups to Develop Christian Accountability

What is accountability? It is a check and balance system to protect us from harm from ourselves and others. We do this by being open to what we are thinking and doing so we can receive encouragement and reproof, when needed. Christian accountability is accounting for what we are up to. It is the realization that we are liable, responsible, and answerable for our actions in life to God, as well as to key Christians in our life. Thus, we need to hold to our beliefs and keep in line with what we believe so it does not distract us from God's path for us or discourage others from their path.

Accountability Questions

Here are some key Accountability questions you can ask yourself and/or have a mentor ask you. "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." -- James 5:15-16
