This curriculum is designed to teach you how to study the Bible with the tools a good pastor would learn to use in a top level seminary. Why should I bother with this? Because, we can gain so much more from His Word, precepts, and call if we just desire to take the time to learn more of His Word.

Nothing in our Christian life is as important or compares to the value of learning God's Word and then incorporating His precepts into our lives. Thus, memorizing a passage of Scripture is an essential way not only to know His Word, but to know and grow in our Lord and Savior. The Bible is the most important and essential book in history because it is God's Word and His revelation of Himself, His precepts and His purpose for our lives. As a Christian you cannot and must not function without it! Here is a Bible reading plan to help you discover the Bible's full message in a good systematic way. With this plan you can read the entire Bible, all 66 books, the entire Old Testament once and the New Testament twice in one year! An average reader can do this in less than a half an hour each day, most in 20 minutes. This is a similar plan as the ever so popular "One Year Bible" by Tyndale, which we also highly recommend. We recommend the NIV or the NLT (reads faster) for this plan.

Now the key principle that the great exegetes and pastors do to get more out of the Bible is they do not stop at the first observations or interpretation. They go back and mine out additional precepts, and that is why they get more so they can teach more. They seek out what they missed by interviewing the text and they look for what can additionally be learned. And you can do this too! This step is designed for you to do just that, get more out of the Bible.

Before you can successfully engage God's most precious Word, you must: Know that the Scriptures is our primary means of knowing God, learning His precepts and growing in His grace. We must be willing to not just read the Bible, but be willing to obey God's decrees! It is not about you, it is about God! Make it your choice and work out you salvation hard with a surrendered will to His!
